Goals of activated carbon steam sterilization
The goal of activated carbon steam sterilization is to use high-temperature steam to sterilize activated carbon. Activated carbon is a material with adsorption properties and is widely used in water treatment, air purification, food processing and other fields. During use, activated carbon will absorb some harmful substances and microorganisms, so it needs to be sterilized to ensure its effectiveness and safety.
Preparation for activated carbon steam sterilization
Before performing activated carbon steam sterilization, the following preparations need to be carried out:
1. Check whether the steam pressure is normal. The pressure gauge should show 0.4~0.5Mpa.
2. Check whether the water in the activated carbon filter is drained. If there is water, you need to open the positive wash drainage valve SBFV58/59, the sewage removal valve is in the open state, and other valves are in the closed state.
3. Check whether the valves in each pipeline of the activated carbon filter in the water treatment room are open.
Operation steps of activated carbon steam sterilization
1. Place activated carbon into the sterilization equipment.
2. Start the steam generator to generate high-temperature steam.
3. Pass high-temperature steam into the activated carbon and keep it for a certain period of time to ensure that the activated carbon is fully sterilized.
4. Turn off the steam generator and take out the activated carbon after it cools down.
Activated carbon steam sterilization is a common sterilization treatment method, suitable for sterilization and disinfection of activated carbon. When operating, you need to pay attention to safety and hygiene and follow operating procedures to ensure the effectiveness and safety of activated carbon.
